模版套，求解读要求

Thanks for your interest in working with me. I am always looking for new students. Our admissions decisions are made by a committee and are competitive. If you have a strong background I encourage you to apply. Please write clearly about your plans for future research in your statement of purpose.

这老师表达的是不是就是：
1.我招学生，委员会制度，要求高
2.在ps里写清楚对未来研究的计划

但是我不懂啥叫plans for future research。。到老师实验室不是有老师安排任务嘛= =，该咋回？
