Dr. Chaoyue Zhao who is currently an Assistant Professor in Oklahoma State University, is recruiting one or two graduate students who want to obtain their Ph.D. degrees on Industrial Engineering and Management. The outstanding applicants will be provided by competitive four-year financial support. The support will be in the form of research assistantships, and/or teaching assistantships, and will cover stipend for 12 months, plus tuition, insurance and fees, for each year. Dr. Chaoyue Zhao is working on stochastic programming, data-driven stochastic optimization and their applications on power grid security, renewable energy management and big data analysis.
The required qualifications are:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent disciplines.
The preferred qualifications are:
2. Strong mathematical background in mathematical programming and optimization
3. Strong programming skills in C/C++, Matlab, Visual Basic, etc
4. Strong oral and written communication skills
