先说说楼主大致情况， Usc， applied math
由于有强烈大S情节，暑假的时候奔到Stanford 一个实验室工作了一段是. 期间实验室导师有认识一个Statistics 的professor. 就叫我约这位教师见一面，刷个脸
我发的：
I understand that your work is mathematics based, so I wanted to know if I could come by your lab and discuss your work and describe to you my interests.
Since my internship ends this week and I will have to go back USC to continue my schoolwork, I would feel most thankful if we could meet sometime this week.
她回得：
Unfortunately I am not available to meet this week,
using mathematics in Biology through Statistics is a worthwhile
entreprise, please note that we do not usually interact with candidates to our PhD program before they have been admitted,
I will give you one word of advice though, we take the GRE math scores very seriously, so it is worth taking them
several times to achieve a high score if you apply to Stanford Statistics,

当然这大概是8月份的事了，既然都不怎么鼓励提前联系，我想的是就别烦人家了
楼主的问题是：
1.我一直有点困惑这个邮件里地 GRE Math score 是 General 的还是 Subject 的？
2. 我刚刚完成Stanford 申请，有必要给这位教师 汇报一声，祝一个圣诞快乐，刷个脸啥的吗？
