老师突然给我发邮件，这是什么意思

昨晚psu小蜜给我发邮件问我是不是申错项目或者学位了（让我申meng，实际上我申的是ms），早上起来回了他可能是我点错了。过了两小时，另外一个教授突然给我发了封邮件：
I am reviewing applications for the ESM department.
I am part of the Neural Engineering efforts, and among other projects have been working toward developing computational mechanical models of brain tissue. One approach is to map models of mechanics directly to anatomic geometries derived from 3D Electron microscopy stacks.
Critical questions involve simple stress/strain at the micro scale, transport of fluid and ions, sources of mechanical damage, and the electromagnetics in the micro-scale. For each of these there are multi-scale questions - how the micro scale maps to the macro scale, how they map to things we measure, and a host of questions relevant to the actual biology and science of brain function.
This is in collaboration with theoretical and computational mechanics experts Francesco Costanzo and Corina Drapaca. Would such efforts be of interest to you?
