CS领域的研究包括人工智能, including models of memory and reasoning, knowledge representation, natural language understanding, planning, and problem solving; 人机交互; distributed interactive systems; theoretical computer science, focusing on 算法设计和分析; "frictionless" proactive context and task-sensitive information retrieval systems; 分布式实时系统, 网络, performance analysis, prediction and scheduling, Internet and grid application development; and 计算机图形 and human computer interfaces for spatial applications, visualization and computer entertainment.
