Ph.D. Positions in Engineering Design and Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery at Iowa State Univ.

Applications are invited for two research assistant positions starting from Fall 2015 or Spring 2016 in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Iowa State University. Potential research topics include:
Engineering Design under Uncertainty
Design of Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery Systems
Reliability Analysis and Risk Management
Prognostics and Health Management (PHM)
Successful candidates should be highly motivated, have a strong enthusiasm to learn and seek a challenging multidisciplinary research environment, and possess strong English communication skills. Candidates with expertise in applied mathematics, complex system modeling and simulation, and/or electrochemical engineering are highly encouraged to apply.
