A pre-IPO startup that spin-offs from both EMC and VMware, is hiring for Full-Time engineering roles (e.g., Software Engineers, UI/UX designers, and Product Managers) in three divisions:
  1. Data: pivotal.io (Postgres-based); Apache pivotal.io (hawq.incubator.apache.org); blog.pivotal.io query optimizer; pivotal.io.
  2. Platform: cloudfoundry.org, the container-based PaaS product, being rewritten in Go-lang.
  3. Lab: Agile development (pair programming, Test-Driven Dev), web / mobile App dev, pivotaltracker.com.

The work hours here typically is 9 am - 6 pm, no on-calls; Daily free catered breakfast at 8:30 am; Fully-stocked kitchen with snacks and wines; Flexible vacancy policy, etc.

As a part of our youtube.com, we do youtube.com to pick up a real task stated in Pivotal Tracker, in addition to several (e.g., 3 - 5) runs of white board coding on-site. A Ph.D. candidate may give a 30-minute talk about his or her research.

Have I mentioned that it's pre-IPO? The stock options mean a lot, believe me or not. According to the EMC Federation's financial reports, Pivotal consolidated (non-GAAP) revenue $ 0.23B and $ 64M, for 2014 and Q2'15, respectively.
