若干套磁回复该如何跟进

本人是在国内Top10的学校读的本科，美国读的硕士（Top50)的学校。本科GPA是3.86/4，硕士GPA是4/4. GRE是330+3.5.科研有二作两篇（IF 4左右），一篇一作在投，一篇一作即将要投，一篇在写。硕士老板在业内也有一定影响力。个人申请比较大的缺陷就是博士申请应该会转专业。
最近一段时间套磁了很多老板。但都没有非常明确的答复。希望版内的大牛解答一下。

当我明确问他们lab明年能不能要我，回复是这样的
It's a little too early to say, particularly because grad students do rotations in the first year and don't join a lab until the second year (for you, that would be Fall 2017)

Your experience certainly seems relevant for work in my laboratory or another laboratory at Berkeley. I take graduate students every year. If you are admitted to one of the graduate programs at XXX, we can talk more about your interests and your possibly joining my laboratory.
以上这些回复是不是指对于录取他们都无能为力啊？
是不是因为我申请的很多program进去都是做rotation的？所以老板自己都不太好直接做决定？
因为也和自己现在的老板聊过，他和我说的是排名靠前的学校提前联系导师效果不大，中档的学校老师决定权比较大。所以我现在也比较疑惑。

Thank you for writing. It sounds like you have done an impressive amount of research! My one point of advice on your applications to XXX would be to carefully consider which program you apply to. XXXXX is my primary home, but there are some pretty strict core requirements in terms of XXX training for students in the program. On the other hand, I'm also part of XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX that may be easier for you to get into. You may consider having a look into these programs since one may be a better fit. I am actually going to visit XXX in December (I believe the 8th) so perhaps I will see you there!

If you were asking a different question just let me know. If you wanted to discuss your interests I am happy to do so, let me know what your schedule is like toward the end of October.

Based on your qualifications, experience, and research interests, I think you would be a great addition to my lab, and I will surelybe taking new students next Fall. As you probably know, faculty members at XXX cannot admit PhD students directly into their labs, but I strongly encourage you to apply to the XXX CBE PhD program. I will keep an eye out for your application.
