我的OPT extension流程 情况特殊(RFE, pending期间换工作)

找工作不容易, 还总是要担心身份的事情. 每次和移民局打交道都感觉头上悬着一把达摩克利斯之剑, 无法控制未来.
我的情况有点特殊, 即有rfe, 又有pending期间换工作, 非常折腾. 写此文的目的是给后来人一些参考.
9.11 USCIS VSC收到我的extension application. (10月13日opt到期)
当时我的工作是在公司A, full time unpaid. (unpaid是可以的)
10.10 接到RFE, 要求证明我的工作内容和专业相关(direct relative to major of study). 我在网上查了很久, 发现opt extension rfe里要求证明专业相关的例子非常少.
赶紧联系雇主, 写了一封证明信, 说明自己的职位和工作内容, 以及说明工作内容和专业是相关的.
11.2 VSC收到我的rfe回复.
11.3 这个期间我在找工作. 收到了公司B的offer并接受了. 暂定11.30上班.
这时我的opt extension application是pending状态, 那么如果11.30日时还是pending状态的话,我能换雇主吗? 答案是可以的.我专门查了:

8.4.3.
Can the student change employers while the 17-month extension application is pending?
Yes. However, if the 17-month extension period has started, the employer must also be an E-Verify employer. The student must report the change in employment to his or her DSO. The DSO must update the student’s employer information in SEVIS and the student should submit an amended Form I-765 to the appropriate USCIS Service Center, providing the new employer’s E-Verify number and a copy of the USCIS receipt notice for the first Form I-765. A brief letter explaining the submission should also be included. There is no fee associated with submitting the amended Form I-765.
11.10 公司B的入职手续包括填写I-9.
于是新问题来了, I-9需要证明合法工作的文件, 对于f1 opt状态来说需要的文件就是EAD卡. 可是我的EAD已经过期了,这怎么办? 其实也能办.

11.15 然而折腾人的事情还没完. 公司B提交了I-9后, DHS说我的提交的信息和e-veryfy系统里的信息不符! 我收到个Notification from E-Verify – Tentative Nonconfirmation
You received this email because E-Verify provided a result of DHS or SSA Tentative Nonconfirmation (TNC). A TNC means that the information entered into E-Verify by your employer does not match records available to DHS and SSA. A TNC does not necessarily mean that you gave incorrect information to your employer or that you are not authorized to work in the United States.
这事看起来怪吓人的, 没通过的话就不能合法工作.

12.2 正式上班! 这个时候opt extension依然是pending状态. 于是我联系公司B的律师, 准备办换雇主手续(前面提到的opt_policy_guidance 8.4.3). 当然还联系学校, 提交换雇主和地址的信息.
12.4 在网上查发现我的case在昨天被approve了!
