本科: 生物信息学 @ 南方科技大学, GPA 3.88/4 专业排名第一研究生: 还没读:T单项和总分: 97（口语22）G单项和总分: 154+170+3.0sub专业和分数: 没有背景的其他说明（如牛推等）: 本科一作plosone，stanford的实习，推荐信，一个是斯坦福实习的教授写的，一个是之前和港中文合作项目的老师写的，另一个是自己的老板的。面试的学校 bioinformatics @ UCLA
我是1月7号左右收到面试的通知的，下面是我收到的面试的邮件：
Dear XXXX,
Thank you for your interest in the Bioinformatics Interdepartmental Ph.D. Program. The admissions committee has reviewed your application and is impressed by your qualifications. They would like to invite you to interview with them over the Internet through Skype.Theinterview isan importantpart ofthe admissionsand recruitmentprocess. You will speak with members of the Bioinformatics faculty and have anopportunity to expandupon your excellentqualifications andlearn moreabout UCLA’s Bioinformatics program. The faculty will conduct your interview through Skype on Wednesday, January 20th around 7:25am, your time (3:25pm, January 19th, PST). [/align][align="left"]面试的大概过程如下[/align][align="left"]1：第一个问题是talk about yourself（这个问题我之前整个好准备过段子，但是就直接照着念了，而且关于这个问题，你可以通过它很好的了解一下自己，下面是我自己写的模板）
I am an undergraduate student with about three years research experience in bioinformatics. Remarkably, I have published an research article as the first author and I was the first person who made such achievement in my department. I am looking for graduate program which can provide me with a good training for solving research problems and learning necessary knowledge so as to be a proper scientist.
2：当我说到我想读phd的兴趣的时候，他就继续问我想做的方向是什么，我就说我的方向很广泛，比如personalized medicine，computational analysis 与wet lab的结合，生物大数据之类的
3：听了回答之后，他就说“great”, 接着问我发表的文章的问题，包括文章的目的是什么，方法，结果以及发表日期之类的
4：他还问我做项目的时候最难的是什么，我说是整理数据，然后讲了我怎么解决这个问题
4：他们好像看起来对项目的回答还比较满意，表情都比较和善。接着就问我你对这个项目有什们问题。我就问你们项目的师生比是多少。他们说他们也不清楚具体的数字，但是应该是1：3，1：4 我就说我感觉这个师生比不错。
5：然后我开了小玩笑，因为当时面试的时候有一个人来我们学校，我就说，我在那个会议上见过那个人，而且在那个会议上做了海报。那个老师就比较和蔼的点点头，说这个目的是希望面试的时候可以更融洽一些。
6：最后我还说自己寄送的toefl成绩不是最好的，我打算再寄一次托福成绩，他们说没问题，系秘书会帮我添加上的（这个回复跟之前申请的时候不一样，因为之前申请的时候，问系秘书，他们说不能更新成绩了，所以我要再去根系秘书沟通一下）
最后总结一下，整个面试的时间只有15分钟，但是过程比较融洽，而且感觉自己的口语比较流利，至少比usc的流利很多，而且教授表情比较娱悦。
UCLA是我的dream school 也是我们专排前5，前10的好学校，真希望能被录取！
