康村MEM和NYU TANDON MSIE求比较

目前到手的有俩AD，一个康村MEM没有奖，一个NYU的Master of Industrial Engineering，每年给了9K刀的小奖。
LZ个人的情况是这样，本科在ZJU竺院，学的是食品科学工程（食品安全与营养）。四年读下来发现自己对于在实验室做实验并不擅长，反倒是学生工作，校园活动，主持演讲这些方面做得还不错。又考虑到薪酬问题（食品公司薪酬不说了，都是泪），于是决定转专业申请MEM类项目。个人对于纯码代码比较抵触，但是概率论与数理统计学的还比较有兴趣，感觉自己学学R，SAS之类的数据分析向的语言还是很可以的。另外，LZ还报名了今年六月的CFA LEVEL1考试，以后就业能留美国留美国，实在留不下就回国，所以想兼顾一下学校在国内外的名声。
主要考虑这么几个就业方向（分先后）：
1.进入买方，做资产管理这一块，一步步朝着基金经理的目标迈进（CFA最对口的方向）；
2.进入投行，做Risk management（深知进美国投行IBD希望太渺茫，但学好r，考下来cfa，再加上学校牌子，感觉risk类的岗位还是有希望的？如果盲目乐观，欢迎打醒）；
3.进入排名比较靠前的咨询公司做咨询；
4.其它数据分析类工作；

One course in individual and/or organizational behavior (many students take CEE 6900 – Creativity, Innovation and Leadership; NCC 5530 – Marketing Management; NCC 5540 – Mgmt. and Leading in Organizations; NBA 6630 – Managerial Decision Making; NBA 6660 – Negotiations; or ILROB 5200 – Organizational Behavior & Analysis)
以及三门选修课，可以选cs，商学院的课。
优点：1.必修课比较match我的发展方向，选课自由度蛮高的。2.藤校光环。3.按学期收学费24000一学期，一年毕业的话就48000，三学期就72000。既然按学期收费，感觉如果hold得住就可以多选点课？这应该是个优点吧。4.生活成本低于NYC。
缺点是：1.位置太村了，不利于向金融咨询方向转；2.康村MEM比较奇怪，是在Civil and Environment Engineering系下的，我看了下本项目faculty的背景，大部分都是土木水利物流方向的……该不会我学出来变成了搞土木工程管理方向的了吧……我知道康村IEOR就业很好，不知道MEM会不会因为在CEE系下面所以差很多啊？

原文：You must take 3 electives from manufacturing or industrial engineering for a total of 9 credits. An additional 3 electives are taken from any other graduate curriculum with the approval of the Program Director to ensure their compatibility with your professional objectives for the remaining 9 credits that are needed to fulfill the degree requirements.
You should elect other courses in consultation with your adviser. Concentrations in areas suited to your career interests are encouraged (e.g., manufacturing, mechanical engineering, operations management, construction management, and management of technology). Courses from computer science or management may supplement such a concentration.
优点：1.地处NYC，虽然TANDON在布鲁克林，但是到曼哈顿还是很方便的，对于转金融咨询方向来说位置优势得天独厚；2.有奖学金；3.按学分收费，1626刀一学分。30学分的话加上其余费用5W多吧，还比康村三学期的情况下便宜。
缺点：1.感觉这几门必修课设置的偏传统工业，不如康村的match我的发展方向。2. TANDON到底会不会被用人单位区别对待未知。3.NYC生活费高昂。4.TANDON强项是不是在CS，FE那边？银行来招人会不会只看FE的同学们，根本不看IE的学生？
