请大家帮忙看看Delaware这封admission的邮件是什么意思

因为一直没有收到中意的phd offer，特别痛苦，所以持续套磁至今。
直到上周才收到一个Delaware相关专业方向教授的回复。
邮件里他说对我的经历very impressive，希望我来他学校的institute工作，但目前没有funding，可以跟学校先要TA，只要他这里有funding来了会第一个考虑我。然后问了我几个问题，我回复后问他还有什么需要我做的，他说等admission吧。
由于当时已经三月底，Delaware之前并没有给我admission。但是第二天查邮箱，发现了一封admission来的邮件，内容如下：

Dear Mr. XXX,

Thank you for your interest in the Graduate Programs of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Delaware.

Would you please reply to me as soon as possible with your current status? Are you still interested in admission to the PhD program in our Department?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Regards,

这封邮件的发件人是系里面的秘书，不是校admission的人。
请问这个邮件的意思是什么？表示我有希望吗？因为之前给他们家发从来不回邮件的，我猜想可能是教授跟她提到我。
但我之后回的表决心的邮件她一概都不回了。。。。

请有经验的前辈帮忙看看，感激不尽。。。。！！！
