幫我選校 CHE @ UW, PSU, JHU, USC, Cornell, Upenn

[align="left"]最近學校也開的差不多了，想要來問問大家選校的問題。[/align][align="left"]小弟主要是申請化工MS。先闡述我想要選校的方向，最主要是想留在美國工作一陣子，但我知道MS要找到工作很難，所以我是有要讀PhD的打算。而不直接申請PhD的原因很簡單就是因為覺得自己成績不到，GPA不夠高。[/align][align="left"]以下就列出我對幾個學校的疑問，也希望大家能幫我順手排個優先順序。[/align][align="left"] [/align][align="left"]目前有幾個AD：[/align][align="left"]UW, Seattle, CHE - MS[/align][align="left"]這所沒什麼好講，各方面都不錯。[/align][align="left"] [/align][align="left"]PSU, Non-thesis Master of Science inChemical Engineering – MS[/align][align="left"]只有修課的Program，含7學分的Independent study，The programculminates with a written research paper and presentation.其中有段話我眼睛為之一亮：The M.S. experience is also an exceptional stepping-stonethat individuals may use to apply to chemical engineering Ph.D. programs.且根據小道消息指出，PSU要內轉PhD似乎相對容易些。[/align][align="left"]想請問有沒有版上大大有沒有人有相關經驗。[/align][align="left"] [/align][align="left"]JHU, Master of Science in Engineering(M.S.E.) program in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering[/align][align="left"]學校聽起來實在很嚇人，不過Program有點特別，The student must write an essay based on original research andliterature review and present his or her results at an open seminar attended bythe faculty and students. The essay must be approved by the departmentalgraduate committee, which consists of the graduate research advisor and atleast one more faculty member from the Department of Chemical and BiomolecularEngineering. The MSE essay presentation is similar to the Ph.D. thesis defense (without the GBO part) (借問一下GBO是什麼？丟G查不到)，簡單來說就是有essay但不是thesis，有類似defense。[/align][align="left"]我自己有寄信問那裡的教授說讀這個Program申請PHD的問題，但教授也只是回我說他也不能保證。[/align][align="left"]想問各位版上大大這種program在申請PHD會比較劣勢嗎？我意思是跟像UW有thesis的program比。[/align][align="left"]參考網址：http://goo.gl/ceLIKC[/align][align="left"] [/align][align="left"]USC[/align][align="left"]這個蠻多人分享了，我就不贅述。[/align][align="left"] [/align][align="left"]還有兩間Pending：[/align][align="left"]Cornell, CHE-MS[/align][align="left"]感覺就會被轉成Meng，不過根據有人似乎有經驗是先去念Meng然後直接申請Cornell PhD就上了，有請各位大大分享經驗。[/align][align="left"] [/align][align="left"]UPenn, CHE-MS[/align][align="left"]聽說收蠻多人的，我朋友說蠻大機會會上，我就先列入考慮。[/align][align="left"] [/align][align="left"]我自己目前心目中排名如下：[/align][align="left"]Cornell MS>UPenn=UW(畢竟這三個都是有thesis)>JHU>PSU>USC>Cornell Meng[/align][align="left"] [/align]目前急需各位建議，就是要以申請PHD為目的，歡迎大家也順手幫我排個名，感恩！！
