Several PhD Positions are available in the Design Automation Group at Michigan Technological University, which will be supported through several recent research projects funded by the US National Science Foundations. Our research interests include:

VLSI design and computer-aided design

Heterogeneous parallel computing algorithms

Spectral graph sparsification, graph partitioning & data clustering algorithms

Design methodologies for large-scale on chip power delivery networks (PDNs)

Application Process:
You want to send your latest CV, transcripts, English test scores, publications (if available) by email to:
Prof. Zhuo Feng
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Email: 1point3acres.com

If necessary, you will be later asked to apply to the Computer Engineering Program (PhD level) in the ECE department of MTU

About the Professor:
Dr. Zhuo Feng received the Ph.D degree in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX in 2009, the M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from National University of Singapore, Singapore, in 2005 and the B.E. degree in Information Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University,Xi'an, China, in 2003. He has been a faculty member at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering , Michigan Technological University, Houghton,MI, where he is currently affiliated with the Computer Engineering group. He received a Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) in 2004, a Best Paper Award from ACM/IEEE Design Automation Conference (DAC) in 2013, and two Best Paper Award Nominations from IEEE/ACM International Conference on Computer Aided Design (ICCAD) in 2006 and 2008. He is currently the principle investigator of several NSF Projects as well as the CUDA Research Center at Michigan Technological University named by Nvidia Corporation. He has served on the technical program committees of major international conferences in the areas of electronic design automation (EDA) and VLSI design, including DAC, ICCAD, ASP-DAC, ISQED, and VLSI-DAT, and has been technical referees for many leading IEEE/ACM journals in VLSI and parallel computing.
