Prof. Ming Li in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Arizona is looking for highly motivated PhD students to join his Wireless Networks and Cyber Security Research (WiSeR) Lab. The research areas include: (1) Wireless networking and mobile computing; (2) Wireless and mobile security; (3) Security and privacy in cyber physical systems and internet-of-things; (4) Privacy-preserving big data analytics.

Preferred candidates should be self-motivated, responsible, and have the curiosity and determination to explore the path to develop himself/herself into an outstanding researcher. Candidates with EE, CS or other relevant backgrounds will be considered. A solid background in any one of the following will be a plus: wireless communications & networking, security/cryptography, signal processing, machine learning, optimization/game theory. The candidate should have either strong analytical (mathematical) skills or strong system implementation skills. Previous research experience is a plus but not necessary.
