申请被建议转系是什么情况

申请rochester得bme phd。。。今早上收到邮件说，觉得更适合申请ece，想问我愿不愿意被share到ece得admission去。。。这是什么情况。。。。虽然我是ece得，但是申请的都是ultrasound imaging。。。。

实际情况是，我陶瓷的导师帮我推荐到ece的。。。增大录取概率，他都可以advise。。。
