[/align][align="left"]We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at UC San Diego (UCSD). Admission to the ECE M.S. program at UCSD is extremely competitive and is becoming increasingly competitive with each passing year. This year, we had over 1,600 applicants apply to the M.S. program, and we only offered admission to approximately 290 candidates. When reviewing applications, several factors are taken into consideration and contribute to the admission decision. Specifically, the admissions committee identifies the best match of applicants to the current research of our faculty, as well as both departmental and discipline-related educational objectives and priorities. Unfortunately, we are only able to extend offers to a limited number of qualified applicants. Due to the high volume of applications received, the faculty admissions committee will not be reconsidering applications after an admission decision has been reached. [/align][align="left"]
