A marketing consulting company in Boston is looking for a new statistician.

  • MS or PhD in statistics, econometrics or other related quantitative fields High academic achievement (GPA > 3.6/4.0)
  • Multivariate modeling experience such as linear and nonlinear regression models, limited dependent variable models, cluster analysis and etc.
  • Solid theoretical knowledge of statistical segmentation/classification methods, EM algorithm, hierarchical Bayesian models and MCMC simulation methods;
  • Specific knowledge of latent class models, linear discriminant analysis, conjoint and discrete choice models and etc. in market research is a plus.
  • Experience in research design and statistical modeling in a business envirohuaren.usent (marketing, market research, etc.) is a plus;
  • has experience programming mathematical or statistical software packages such as R, experience with VBA and/or SQL;
  • Proficient with Excel and Access is a plus;
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions, and translate results into visuals that client can understand;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines simultaneously Success at working on cross-functional teams to meet a common goal;
  • Experience in communicating with internal and/or external clients; Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills; Creative and independent thinking with a desire to continuously learn and improve Has the characteristics of being confident, optimistic, self-motivated and resourceful
