(Helios 5 Hydra CX DualBeam and a Helios 5 UX) ,以及最新的三维原子探针设备LEAP 6000 XR。

Dr. Xin Wang will join the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alabama as an Assistant Professor in August 2023. Prior to joining the University of Alabama, Dr. Wang obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2011 and 2014, respectively. She then pursued her doctoral studies from 2014 to 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Julie M. Schoenung, a member of the National Academy of Engineering, at the University of California, Irvine. During her doctoral research, Dr. Wang primarily utilized advanced electron microscopy and micro-mechanical testing techniques to investigate the twinning deformation mechanisms in magnesium alloys. She also focused on optimizing material properties through microstructural control. Currently, she is conducting postdoctoral research at the University of California, Irvine, where she serves as a lead Postdoc, participating in multiple research projects funded by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Defense. Her research efforts are dedicated to exploring the microstructure, defects, deformation mechanisms, and advanced manufacturing technologies of novel structural materials.
The team will primarily focus on the following research directions:
;      Micro-mechanical testing
;      In-situ electron microscopy
;      Advanced materials preparation (powder metallurgy, laser 3D printing, thin film deposition, etc.)
;      Physical metallurgy
The team currently has two openings for doctoral students. We invite interested students majoring in materials science, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, physics, and related fields to send an email to Dr. Wang: 1point3acres.com. Please make sure to include your CV, transcript, TOEFL/IELTS scores, as well as your research experience and interests in your email.
