The nanoscale optoelectronics lab is looking for highly motivated young researchers to join in our group, working on cutting-edge research in metasurface flat optics, semiconductor devices, ultrafast nonlinear optics and their applications for advance imaging technology, biomedical sensing, night vision, renewable energy, and ocean exploration.

PhD students in our group will have the opportunity work on device design/modeling, fabrication (in the cleanroom), optical/electrical characterization, system integration and/or test in real-world applications. We work in a highly collaborative way and emphasize on fostering critical thinking, collaboration skills, leadership and communication skills. Students graduated from our group are highly competitive in the job market for both academic positions and industry (e.g. Intel, ASML, etc.)
Who can apply?
Undergraduate or master students with optics, engineering or physics background who are interested in semiconductor optoelectronics, nanophotonics, flat optics, quantum devices, and highly motivated to enable new technology to solve real-world problems. (Requirements for GRE and TOEFL are the same with the Admission Eligibility Requirements for ASU.)
