Xin Zan is an incoming tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Iowa, starting in Fall 2024. Xin received her Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2019. She obtained the master’s degree in Statistics and expect to complete the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida in 2022 and 2024. Xin’s research interests are focused on advanced data-driven analytics for complex system modeling, monitoring, and diagnosis, with applications in healthcare, manufacturing, service, etc.
Xin is currently seeking for self-motivated PhD students who are passionate about applied statistics, data science, and artificial intelligence. Ideal candidates should have background in engineering, statistics, mathematics and/or strong programming skills in at least one programming language (Python, R, or Matlab is preferred).
