PhD Positions Available in AI / ML /CV/ Robotics at UGA in fall 2024

University of Georgia is having multiple open AI PhD positions on the directions of computer vision, machine learning and robotics. Students with related background are encouraged to apply. In the most authoritative ranking of US News, University of Georgia is ranked #47 among all the universities in the USA (kept ranking among 46-49 in recent 5 years).
Computer Vision, Robotics and AI have been focusing areas for the university, which will bring extensive research outcomes through extensive internet and external collaborations. We have multiple projects with NSF, USDA, DoD, Ford, GM, Qualcomm, Tencent, OPPO etc. Students could have extensive research experience and outcomes through both federal and industry projects. Students in the lab could regularly publish on top computer vision/robotics journals and conferences. Prof. Guoyu Lu has been serving as area chairs/associate editors for multiple computer vision and robotics conferences and journals.
The lab has rich resources in equipment, such as computer servers (A6000, 4090 etc), high-payload drones, ground robotics, various cameras and sensors, etc.
