关于Stevens Institute of Technology莫名其妙的反套，呼唤各位大神回答

以前一直给Stevens的一个老师发套磁信，发了两次才有回复，就简单说:
Thanks for your interest. Let me check on your application.
然后第二天学校就告诉我说我的材料齐了（这小米真懒啊···）
然后一天后收到邮件说有opening，说:
We recently received your application for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology. We often contact good applicants to provide them with some extra information about Stevens and our research programs and to get to know a bit more about them and their interests.
We were wondering if you would be at all available to talk over the phone. I might also have openings for the fall 2011.
我定睛一看，不是我联系的那个老师，是另外的一个AP···
这到底是怎么回事啊？是被反套？
这算不算同时联系两个老师啊？
我该联系哪个老师呢？
