CV中的volunteer问题

之前在学校官网上看，对CV没有什么要求，刚刚在填CMU的网申时，在cv下有一行字；；Please be sure that the resume you attach(ed) in the main application portion provides details of relevant educational/work experience, including but not limited to: education, employment, volunteer activities, life experiences, internships, and/or research projects. volunteer非要包含吗？？
lz之前的cv都排好版了，如果要加volunteer work的话，则一面多出一点啊。。我个人想忽略这一点啊（volunteer work 真的是必要的吗？？）求解
