Dear xxx
We have been informed of your admission to Binghamton University for the Fall 2015 semester. Congratulations! We hope that you will join our community of more than 2600 international students. We are now ready to prepare your visa eligibility document (form I-20 for F visa applicants, form DS-2019 for J visa applicants). The Graduate School will then send your documents to you via express mail. Please allow up to three business days for our office to prepare your I-20 and for the express mail to be processed. We ask that you complete our Ready For Your Visa Document Form on our website:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1995WRrIZ__qMkKU6CB8liPI-vPTnscgjBrn8njYnjY4/viewformNOTE: If you are in China, please complete our Ready For Your Visa Document Form using the following link, and email the completed form to 1point3acres.com:http://www.binghamton.edu/isss/essential-forms/InternationalStudentResponseSheet.pdfOur records show that you are currently living outside the United States and are not currently attending a U.S. school. If this information is not correct, please provide the correct information by email to 1point3acres.comWe also want to inform you that the U.S. government requires students who are issued an I-20 for "initial entry" or a DS-2019 to "begin a new program" at a U.S. school to pay a federal I-901 SEVIS fee of $200 (for F-1 students) or $180 (for J-1 students) before the F-1 or J-1 visa can be issued. You will need to present proof that you have paid this fee at the visa interview. Please note that this I-901 SEVIS fee is separate from the $160 visa processing fee. Canadian citizens, who are visa -exempt, must pay the I-901 SEVIS fee before they enter the United States. You will need information from your I-20 or DS-2019 in order to pay the federal I-901 SEVIS fee. More information about the federal I-901 SEVIS fee will be included with your I-20, but to learn more now, visit: http://www2.binghamton.edu/isss/new-students/sevisfees.htmlTo learn more about the Office of International Student and Scholar Services, as well as to read important information for new students, visit our website at http://isss.binghamton.eduIf you have questions or concerns about housing, please visit: http://www2.binghamton.edu/isss/new-students/#four or inquiries can be sent to 1point3acres.comQuestions of an academic nature should be sent to the appropriate admissions office or academic department.Any other questions may be addressed to this office.
