Thank you for your email and expression of interest. As you probably know, the admission cycle has started and students are now submitting their graduate applications. If you have a strong interest in JHU, you should certainly apply. Your application will be circulated among all the faculty, and those who are interested in your record will contact you directly, for example to arrange a Skype interview.
When you prepare your application, you'll have the opportunity to indicate the names of faculty members that you wish to work with at JHU. It's a good way to inform those individuals of your interest in their work. Of course funding is an issue, so it would be helpful if you indicate whether you have external support (e.g. fellowship or sponsorship) on your application.
