关于admission committee的疑问

真心求稳各位前辈大侠们
1. admission committee 一般是多少人，由哪些人组成的? 是chair+director of graduate study+一些其他的faculty吗？学校好像都不写出committee成员，还是偶太菜了没找到。。。
2. 如果committee里有人跟自己的方向一致是不是录取的机会更大一些？跟applicants不一样的committee们会不会不太care applicants的研究背景，只是简单的看一些硬件指标呢。
3. “In general, we expect our Ph.D. applicants to have a master's degree; however, truly outstanding applicants could be admitted directly into the Ph.D. program without an MS degree.”
还请各位路过的前辈们指点，也希望对其他有同样疑问的筒子们有点信息量。。。
