以下是HR今天跟我讨论过的teams(第一个team是在SF的,其余都在Seattle):

· Consumer Website – San Francisco: Consumer Website owns the technology stack for Amazon.com websites worldwide from the front-end customer experience to back-end service technology and website hosting. This includes ownership of core website pages like gateway, nav, detail page, and checkout, along with localization, media services, website rendering, content management, content optimization, Weblab, Clickstream, Web Analytics, Robot Detection and Mitigation, traffic routing, DDoS protection, service frameworks, operations automation and more.· CS Technology – Security: The Amazon Customer Service Security Team builds services used by hundreds of engineers inside Amazon. Our security services allow developers to test the identity of users from multiple identity pools and manage robust sets of permissions which can be assigned to users. Our software supports five (5) major enterprise tools used by Amazon associates and external vendors to run business operations. On our team, you’ll primarily develop software in Java working with a number of Amazon Web Services for storage and processing. Most of our services expose user interfaces on multiple software stacks, so experience with HTML, CSS, and Java Script is a huge plus. Technologies include: Java, C++ and/or C# and large scale database environments (DynamoDB, Kinesis, AML, EML).· AWS Mechanical Turk: Amazon Mechanical Turk (mturk.com), Amazon.com's latest innovation, combines artificial intelligence, cutting edge business strategies, web services and distributed computing to create something entirely new; a human intelligence marketplace. Since its launch in November 2005, Amazon Mechanical Turk has been generating huge interest all over the world. We are looking for creative and innovative people wanting to apply their passion and talent to take this exciting new business to the next level. Come join us in Seattle and become part of this fast-moving and unique opportunity. The Amazon Mechanical Turk team is driving web services technology to new heights. Our goals for the near term include major improvements to our website and backend services, so candidates are expected to hit the ground running with experience in multi-tiered applications. Candidates should be fluent in Java or C++, and knowledge of Perl or Ruby is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess all those skills, plus experience with performance and availability optimization, and hardware architecture management. As a Software Development Engineer, you will work independently and with other software engineers, program managers, and designers to create, develop and deploy applications, front-end API's and middle-tier services. You will work in a heterogeneous environment of languages and technologies where the flexibility and ability to deliver solid solutions are paramount. Technologies include: C++, Java on a Unix/Linux platform; code repository tools (Perforce, CVS); Extreme/Agile Programming.· Forecasting: Customer Experience (aka “COFS”) manages the Forecasting systems that most directly deal with customer experience. The Fulfillment Availability group calculates item availability, Delivery Promise integrates item availability and shipping capability for our customers (including whether or not items are FastTrack) and tells the customers when we will ship and/or deliver their orders, and Fulfillment Exception Management watches over this process and reacts to positive and negative events that affect customers. Fulfill to Promise (F2P) is responsible for the assignment of individual items in a Customer Order to Fulfillment Centers/Drop-shippers. To reduce transportation and processing costs we consolidate as many items as possible into the same shipment with a prime constraint of meeting the customer promise. The flow of work to the FCs is controlled at this stage, using super-saver orders as a level-loader, to ensure that we can handle the peaks of fast-track demand. Fulfillment Optimization is the team responsible for the assignment of customer order items (shipments) to FCs and Drop-shippers. The current system is called Fulfillment Planning Engine (FPE). Unified Fulfillment Orchestration (UFO) is the team responsible for the flow of shipments to the FCs, drop-shippers and 3rd party merchants. The Amazon Fulfillment Network (AFN) uses the Shipment Request & Workflow (SRW) system. The Merchant Fulfillment Network (MFN) uses the Fulfillment Management Services (FMS) system. Forecasting Planning is responsible for forecasting short- and long-term Fulfillment Network capacity and labor needs, and drives inventory health. The Capacity Planning team is responsible for coming up with long-range plans for the FC network and provides insight into Retail product lines' conformance to Capacity goals. The Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) team builds near-term forecasts and manages the flows into the network to hit those forecasts, thereby driving up FC productivity. The ITS team builds systems to manage flows into the FC network and to provide better S&OP forecasts. The Optimal Inventory Health team measures uneconomic inventory and builds systems that make it easy to dispose of this unneeded stock.
