请问诸路大神，收到phd的ad，有可能从系里要到funding么？

刚刚收到的邮件通知，说是给admission。并且有一句是：“I regret that I am unable to guarantee you financial support at this time. Should you have questions about future financial support, please contact your department.”

想问问各位童鞋，是不是说就一定不可能有funding了？有没有可能给系里写信argue一下，要来funding？毕竟phd五年呢，资金问题不保障，读不起呀。。。。。。

跟进一下，谢谢大家提供的信息和建议。本来打算去套磁找教授要funding的，但是运气很好，昨晚收到了我本校（Stony Brook U）的计算机Phd offer，给了TA+Fellowship。所以就拒掉UCSC了。
