看到好多童鞋都不知道这个是什么 但是发现申请过程中半路遭遇这个真的很痛苦，
所以给大家扫扫盲

首先问：WES评估是什么?怎么做?
答：由于各国教育制度、学位授予办法及学位名称不尽相同，国外众多大学对中国教育及学位制度缺乏足够了解，难以确认中国教育机构颁发证书的层次，致使在学生申请及学校评审过程中遇到不同程度的困难。因此，有很多院校都要求申请者出示学历及成绩单的认证报告，以方便校方掌握国际学生的学术水平。
学历及成绩单的认证是由总部位于美国纽约的世界教育服务机构(World Education Services)来统一办理的。WES对于来自于中国的所有学历学位的认证均授权教育部学位与研究生教育中心来办理。所以，中国大陆的学生只需在国内办理并将认证报告原件寄至所申请的美国大学即可。在节省费用的同时，也加快了认证的办理速度。

另外，想知道你申请的学校是不是要WES认证，最权威的莫过于去学校官网上查了。
貌似最近有越来越多的学校要求做一个学历和成绩的评估，而且有些点名要求WES的评估。直接写在requirements上的还好，但有些是交了申请费、送了分之后才告诉你的，这就让人有些不爽了，毕竟要花上2000RMB左右呢。一开始我申请的时候也没看到，后来是人家提醒我的，后来我在一个小角落看到了，貌似就是admission里面，transcript的结尾处。那个时候我刚刚付好G的送分费用，真想抽自己耳光。有的学校可能某些专业需要，其他的不需要，大家去官网上查查吧!顺便共享一下
号召大家把要求做这个评估的学校“举报”一下，好给其他的人一个提醒，免得越来越多的人遇到进退两难的情况。

WES总流程—— 一个过来人的经验
现在要求wes的学校越来越多，作为一个刚完成这个评估的人在此作一个小小的总结，方便大众
注意：并不是美国所有的学校都是通过wes评估成绩的，美国还有一个类似wes的组织
1.登陆1point3acres.com
2.根据学校的要求选择你所要做的评估种类:
wes提供3种评估：
a)Document-by-Document Report ($100)
b)Comprehensive Course-by-Course Report ($150)
(一般学校就要求做这个评估，我做的也是这个)
c)CPA Board Evaluation ($200)
3.确定你所需要提供的资料

How to submit transcripts, degrees or diplomas :
Official transcripts and degrees and diplomas must be verified and sent directly to WES by one of the two organizations designated by the Ministry of Education. Please contact them directly and arrange to have your transcripts and degree or diploma verified and sent directly to WES.

个人小提示：第一次评估的时候有2份免费评估表，一份是寄给你自己的，还有1份免费寄送到一个学校，在填写申请表格的时候会要求你填写你要寄送的学校，每份是$15,在此希望各位一次性把所以想申请的学校都填完，否则你以后申请寄送的话第一份要收取$40,之后的才是$15一份，何必让美国人多赚我们一笔呢

5.决定你要申请的学校
知道学校名字就可以，不像GT,没有什么学校代码，你只要输入学校名字网站自动会带出学校地址，方便你确认(并不是美国所有的学校都是通过wes评估成绩的，美国还有一个类似wes的组织，所以如果网站找不出你所要寄送的学校这可能代表着这个学校是和其他组织联手的，也有可能你输入的学校名字错误，呵呵)
6.准备好你的信用卡master、visa 都能用
7.开始申请
当你开始申请的时候wes网站会自动给出一个号码Your WES Reference Number，这个就是你的登录帐号，一定要记录下来，以后查申请进度、评估表上面都靠这个号码
8.寄送资料
准备中英文成绩单、英文的学历证明、中文学历证明复印件(本人是大专生，所以没有学位证书，不知道学位证书学校怎么开得，不好意思)

9.申请进度查询
wes.org
输入你的生日和Your WES Reference Number即可查询进度，这点我很喜欢，随时可以知道自己资料评估的情况
申请成功以后你就可以去看看这个网页，你可以看到一个状态就是“等待你寄送资料
然后寄过去他们收到以后，状态就会进入审核阶段，显示具体出report的时间，可以看到你要寄送的学校的名称地址详细资料
大概在审核的第二天，你会看到网页上在你显示进度的下面出现一句英语大概意思是“加速处理”——就是如果你急需要这个report，你就多付点钱给他们，他们优先审核你的资料，帮你尽快寄出# P5 Z6 z, N% C- G0 y
个人经历：我没有用到这项服务，因为我当时正常出report的时间是9.26，而如果他们加速处理出report的时间是9.25，这个服务毫无意义，可笑!
10.收到report
我大概是2个星期左右收到的，是航空邮件。小兴奋了一下，呵呵
11.学分改动问题：
wes会改动你的学分，因为在他们眼里有一门学科不值钱——英语，大学3年的英语(大学英语、专业英语)的学分都从4分被改为2分
还有体育，report上只占0.5分
我原本的学分是109.5结果缩水成89.5
其他基础课、专业课都没有变过

WES是很贵很长很麻烦的过程，相信有过尝试的朋友都会知道。
这里描述2个本人尝试免掉WES成绩单评估的经历。
1. Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School (失败)

I have just received your ordinary mail. Thank you very much for yourreminders!
I have my resume, two sealed letter of recommendations and essay ready to send.However, I just read that you may not accept the official transcripts fromuniversities outside the US. The university I attended: ********* is a national key university in China and my transcriptis officially available bilingual in English and Chinese, sealed in an envelop.The transcript is clear: The score of all the subjects are 0-100 scale and the GPAmeasurement is at a 4.0 scale.
The evaluation agencies really charge high for an international applicant andthe evaluation is really time-consuming. I hope that you will accept theofficial transcript from my school directly without an evaluation from athird-party agency.

If your university didnot grade on a 4.0 scale, it is difficult for us to compare the GPA with ourstandards here in the US . 功与失败-免掉WES成绩单评估的1次成功1次失败经历
WES是很贵很长很麻烦的过程，相信有过尝试的朋友都会知道。
这里描述2个本人尝试免掉WES成绩单评估的经历。
1. Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School (失败)

Dear Carey Business School Officers,
I have just received your ordinary mail. Thank you very much for yourreminders!
I have my resume, two sealed letter of recommendations and essay ready to send.However, I just read that you may not accept the official transcripts fromuniversities outside the US. The university I attended: ********* is a national key university in China and my transcriptis officially available bilingual in English and Chinese, sealed in an envelop.The transcript is clear: The score of all the subjects are 0-100 scale and the GPAmeasurement is at a 4.0 scale.
The evaluation agencies really charge high for an international applicant andthe evaluation is really time-consuming. I hope that you will accept theofficial transcript from my school directly without an evaluation from athird-party agency.

一开始没有多大区别 写信去 不肯

2) GMAT: I have sent my official GMAT score to the MSRE program quite long ago. Please check the attached PDF to better locate my file from GMAC.
3) TOEFL: I have sent my official TOEFL score to U San Diego quite long ago.Please check the attached PDF to better locate my file from ETS.
4)Cert. of Finances: Could that be a must if I am officially admittedinto the program. I do understand that before issueing an I-20 form,such certificates are necessary.

I am speaking with graduate admissions tosee about your GMAT and TOEFL scores, as for your certificate of finances, ifwe admit you, it will be contingent on receiving your Cert of Finances. As faras your transcripts are concerned, we need them evaluated by a WES or IERF, weactually do not even have copies of your official transcripts at that time…sowe will need both (the evaluation and the transcripts). If your university didnot grade on a 4.0 scale, it is difficult for us to compare the GPA with ourstandards here in the US . Please let me know if you have any further questions ******, and again thank youfor your application.

I hope that you have located my GMAT and TOEFL score report. I will definately send the Cert of Finances if being admitted.
As for the official transcript, it was included in the UPS Courrier package to the graduate admission in early February as required by the instruction of the online application system. Please check with the graduate admission for my package there.
My undergraduate university is the best university in terms of ************XX studies in China. We adopt the 1.0-4.0 scale GPA system as what is commonly used in US. I am confident to say that you may assess my previous education via the official transcript directly. I really hope that you could waive the third-party evaluation process.

但是因为是保底学校 已有牛校AD也无所谓了

他没说WAIVE我的WES 我想反正无所谓
