PS中要不要指明想跟的Prof

请问各位大侠PS中要不要指明想跟的Prof吗？
有prof说让在PS中提他的名字，但看到这个，心里有些担心.
"Avoid mentioning persons alone, i.e., qualify a professor by the group he leads/is part of. You can rest assured any CS prof will be part of some group with what she thinks is a cool abbreviated name. This way you won't antagonise a rival professor in the same area who actually sits on the committee. "
有的学校写组的话，他的分组很笼统，里面Prof太多了。那个Prof在的组也跟我要申请的方向不太一致。
如果写Prof的名字是不是应该多写几个呢？以免antagonise别的Prof。
一般写多少个合适？（写多了会让别人觉得没有明确方向吧）
