H1B consular processing case可以回国续签F1吗

在地里搜了一下，好像讨论过，但是没有明确的答案。希望各位地里的大大帮忙解答下！
我是今年五月毕业，然后EAD开始时间是7月到2017年7月，stem专业，可以extension。 然后我的F1签证今年3月已经过期了。我找到了工作，公司已经开始给我准备提交H1B的petition了。但是今年暑假（6月）我因为个人原因，必须回国15天。所以咨询了律师我在申请H1B期间能否回国，renew F1是否有可能因此被拒的问题。
律师给我的说法是
”No, applying for your H-1B will not affect your F-1 renewal process. From a legal stand point it will not affect your process. If you pursue an H-1B consular processing case, and leave the US to obtain a new F-1 visa stamp, and reenter on F-1 status, your H-1B petition will continue to be processed with the USCIS. If your H-1B is approved for consular processing when you are already in the US, you will not activate your H-1B status until you leave the US and reenter. “
但我看网上有的人也说也被拒的风险，因为VO能够看见我已经在申请H1B了？？？
我不知道到底有没有风险，或者说风险有多大。最保险的是不申请今年的H1B，但是又不想错过这次机会。所以想想问问地里的各位前辈或者同学，有没有类似经历，或者觉得律师的说法是否可行。我可以回国renew我的f1吗！
