Cap gap 怎么办optx

H1B case received，non pp。
极其担心会被deny，就跟学校说申请opt ext，今天学校告诉我，没有办法issue i20 for opt ext。是因为h1b抽中了已经变成capgap了，opt自动延期到9月底。
学校的老师说让我直接申请without i20，然后加上这么一个note，
“I have applied for the H-1b and have a CAP GAP, and now want to apply for the 24-month OPTX, however the SEVIS system does not allow for the processing of the OPTX I-20 at this time.”
想问问有没有相似的情况？ 谢谢了
我opt 6月30日deadline，如果在这之后 得知h1挂了，我的cap gap 就自动结束了 是这样吧？
这时候我还能申请opt ext吗 因为过了6月30日了 （学校的意思好像是让我先邮寄一份没有i20的 去占个坑）
