马上opt要到期，现在让公司申请 E-verify，然后申请opt 延期可以吗？

之前一直以为这样是可以的，直到刚才找everify的信息，发现uscis.gov 这个链接有一段说：

Which existing employees may be verified in E-Verify?
E-Verify may not be used to create cases for employees hired beforethe company signed the MOU (unless you are a Federal contractorwith the FAR E-Verify clause) or to re-verify employees who have temporary work authorization.

这么说，即使我让公司现在everify 我也不能申请opt 延期了？
