上星期收到他家面试，一个博士师兄面的，今天收到了系里的AD。听师兄的意思和看往年的汇报帖，感觉好像是第一年基本拿不到钱的，但是第二年一般会有吧，要慢慢排。原话是：This admission is without financial support. We will place you on waiting lists for both an out-of-state tuition waiver and for an assistantship, but both of these lists are long. It is entirely possible for you to graduate without ever reaching the top of our TA list.
补充一点了解到的这个系的信息，系里的Big Data Lab是一个相对独立于系里的组织，拿了不少项目，Prof Ma 和 Prof Zhong带队，里面基本都是中国人，做的方向很多，比较偏应用。
感觉第一年要是没钱可能暂时不会考虑去那边吧，等等看其他的结果。。。 祝大家新年都收到满意Offer！
