We are pleased to offer you a one-third time graduate teaching assistantship for the Fall 2017, Spring 2018 and
Summer 2018 semesters. The monthly stipend for this position is $1,391.00, payable on the last business day of the

flexibility in choosing their research topics and advisors. Graduate Research Assistants who pass the preliminary
exam are eligible for the PhD stipend rate. The PhD one-third time stipend rate is $1,500.00 and the PhD one-half
time stipend rate is $2,250.00. This increase in stipend rate is dependent upon your advisor and available funding,
but the vast majority of Graduate Research Assistants are paid at the one-half time PhD stipend rate in their second
or later years.
