Thank you for your interest in graduate studies in Information Management and Systems at the University of California Berkeley. The School of Information admissions committee has reviewed all of the materials submitted with your application. I regret to inform you that you have not been accepted for admission to the Fall 2017 entering class.
Our department is limited in the number of new students it may admit each year. We have the difficult task of selecting students with the strongest overall records from a large pool of well-qualified applicants. Unfortunately, this may result in not being able to accept many applicants who are capable of excellent academic work.
I am sorry that we do not have a place for you, and wish you success in the pursuit of your academic goals.
