求助啊，被Umass 的EE系录为phd，但是funding只先给一年看表现

如题，Umass Amherst我申的方向是IC design, Analog方向，教授刚好有个project需要人。教授是个59岁的老外。可是他显然对学生要求很高。去了一定压力特别大，当然能学到很多东西。我现在已经有一个 NTU的offer了（一样的方向），4年funding....所以，亲们，给个意见吧，何去何从? 谢谢啦~

Our normal approach is to pay a student an research assistantship stipend for a calendar year. If the student makes satisfactory progress, and assuming funding is available, then the RA would continue until the degree is completed. Is this satisfactory?
