难道phd的申请也要7连拒后才能召唤offer吗？

昨天在地里看到这个帖子1point3acres.com，询问了lz小秘的邮箱，也发了一个。凌晨4点来的邮件，被拒了。以下为邮件原文：
Thank you for applying for admission to our graduate program in Materials Science and Engineering. I sincerely regret to inform you that your application for admission has been denied. Although your background and qualifications meet some of our requirements, admission to our program is very competitive and we have had to turn down many deserving students such as you.
Please note that you will also receive a separate email within a day or two from the Graduate School regarding the decision.
On behalf of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, thank you for your interest in our program and we wish you continued success in your graduate studies and future endeavors.
看来，被小秘打击一次还不算，研院的正式通知还要再打击一次……{:4_85:}
分析了原因，除了我上一个汇报帖中（1point3acres.com）所说，还有一点我觉得就是学校出身。海本好一些；国内名校好一些；非名校或名校的非著名专业都不好。虽然有那种双非同学申请成功的案例（1point3acres.com），毕竟是凤毛麟角。绝大多数同学都是一样的。我们专业的出国历史不好，所以造成没有借鉴、申请困难。加之今年申请人又很多，所以很悲剧。
另外，还是要强调一下，不管什么专业的，什么查状态啊全是坑爹，还是要自己问。尤其到现在了，自己的事情自己不问，你觉得小秘在面对那么多申请时会注意吗？{:4_102:}催一催还是很有必要的。
遇到好一点的学校，还说一说“谢谢你申请我们学校，但是”云云，就像上面的邮件。不好的学校直接让自己去查状态，因为这时候查状态不是坑爹的……话说我现在收到邮件最害怕的就是这两种开头的邮件……{:4_105:}
PS：1.以上观点纯属个人，不喜勿喷（喷也可以……）
2.最近毕设实验陷于停滞，申请结果又不给力，进入3月份就是一水儿的悲剧；
3.如果是真的，看看7个rej能不能召唤offer！！！
