我是国大的小本一个 现在就读大二
从来了这个论坛以后 从前辈那里学了好多东西 发奋努力 争取早日成为富农 飞跃成功
今天给大家介绍一下nus的电子工程本科项目 应该对大家报graduate帮助不大 就当是加深一下对国大的了解吧 我也把自己了解的一些教授跟大家介绍一下 要是有朋友有意来国大念书 可以跟我联系啊 我可以帮你打听一下导师和实验室的情况
录取：
我是通过新加坡教育部ministry of education(简称MOE)的SM2项目（不要多想。。。。）来国大就读的 moe会负责我们在国大四年全部的学费 生活费 和部分食宿费。。。 其实国大的研究生和博士生都有很多funding和subsidy 比如我了解到 国大的研究生会拿到每月1500新币的生活费 学费全免（但这两年情况有所变化 随着来新的学生越来越多 新加坡人开始有些对外国人竞争他们的工作职位有所估计 一直坚持大量吸引人才的人民行动党政府也因此失去的好多大选选票 所以近来政策从紧 研究生以前是完全不用教学费的 但现在如果不跟新加坡政府签署合同 毕业后留在新加坡工作三年的话 就要交部分学费 大约一年6000新币）博士条件更好些 一月2300块左右 过了QE应该更高 听说有的phd学生拿到2800 mit和新加坡政府合作建立一个科研中心简称smart 被nus或ntu（南洋理工）大学录取的博士生可以同时申请smart的program 虽然不颁发学位 但是会从smart得到一位committee member的supervision 一般是mit的教授了。。 并且一月的生活费有3200新币 不比美国给的少啊 :D
对于没有sm2项目的学校 学生可以用高考成绩申请 具体可以上网搜一下
课程：
国大是学分制的 160学分毕业（一般4分一门课） 早修完早毕业 当然一定要修完专业的requirement 主要的课程是

同国内大学一样 有好多电子工程系外选修课
对于ee的专业课来说 范围比较广 从大一开始就有了 除了一些跟其他工程专业的同学都要上的微积分和c语言外 3门level 1的课直接让undergraduate接触lab project 比如大一上学期的group project是做一辆能按照地上黑线行驶的小车 下学期做的是激光通信系统 当然对于大一学生来讲不可能全部自己完成 有TA帮着的 但当时觉得还是很具有挑战性啊。。 ee level 2的课涵盖面很宽 电磁学 统计学 数电 电路 微电子 电力系统 通信 单片机 物理光学和量子力学都有 课程的内容量很大 每门课学起来很累 现在觉得level3的课反倒比2轻松 一是level2的课方向太宽 每一门都是新内容 吸收起来不容易 level3—4的课更倾向于让学生偏向某个方向 有了level2的基础 觉得学起来也不是很难
从大三开始 学生自己要分方向完成8门level 3和4的课 当然 想毕业后继续读的一般在一个方向使劲读 并且有有意会接触一些教授 跟着做些research 国大的教授还是很强的 尤其是这两年声誉越来越好 本身又愿意给钱 吸引了好大一批名校的教授 听说进国大当教授非常难啊。。。 一般副教授一个月有15000新币了 还不算其他福利 又扯远了。。。。

对于想要enhance自己的本科生来说 机会是大大的
提升
对了 说道提升自己 就不得不提起国大专门给本科生设计的enhancement program 比如
student exchange program (SEP) 跟上百个大学都有交换 比如我下个学期要去University of British Columbia 不知道论坛里有没有前辈在ubc的 到时候请教一下。。
Overseas College: 国大的海外学院 一般是一年 比如在上海 北京 硅谷 斯德哥尔默 印度 以色列 都有项目 一边在联系好的公司实习 一边在partner university里学些金融 企业精神方面的课 硅谷的PU可是stanford哟
LOCAL INTERNSHIP: 假期的和学期的都有 可以算作选修课的学分 对毕业后直接找工作的学生来说 可以增加不少优势
Double major/degree 这个不说了 都看得懂。。。。 一般ee的学生会选cs math一类的 还有选business和econs的 都不好学啊
Undergraduate research opportunity program: 应该是学的mit 有想法的学生可以直接联系教授 为期一年 大二的学生基本是打打杂 大三的学生可以为final year project 做些准备 顺道搞到一封推荐信。。。
还有一些是给具有entrepreneurship的学生设计的program 比如几个人合作搞一个business plan 国大会赞助你实施 还可以拿学分 不错吧！
教授：
下面我说说我了解的一些教授和一些方向国大的科研情况
ee是国大工程最大的department lab巨多 师资也不错 跟新科院联系紧密（astar）新科院有三个institute直接就设在国大校园里 data storage institute, institute of microelectronics, Institute of Materials Research and Engineering. 合作十分紧密 有些教授就是里面的project manager。
国大ee众多方向里最牛是microelectronics 和 control
Microelectronics
一般是搞solar cell, device 和storage的， 比较牛的教授有
YEO YEE CHIA： 我的supervisor 人超好 Berkeley毕业 导师是大名鼎鼎的hu chenming。 Prof yeo分管silicon nano device lab 资金充足 近些年获奖无数 光US patentS就80多个 还拿了新加坡十大杰出青年科学家奖
Prof Venkatesan： 不是很熟 只知道刚拿了大奖 具体介绍是
He is the first Asian outside USA to be awarded, and is also one of the most highly cited physicists in the world today, being ranked 66 globally (as at end of year 2000).
Prof Armin ABERLE:
白人 好多lab的director
Deputy CEO of the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) and the Director of its Silicon Photovoltaics Cluster.
Adeyeye Adekunle:
剑桥毕业 在Cavendish Laboratory干过
He has won many awards and was named one of the top 100 young innovators in the world by TR100, an award winning MIT magazine on technology.
Choi, Wee Kiong：
室友的supervisor 人也很好
Prof. Choi has served as member or session chair in several conference committees. He is currently a member of the Fellowship Panel of the Institute of Physics (UK). He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
Prof. Hong Minghui：
搞光学的 前几年去mit yale的几个学长 都跟他搞得 福建人 好说话
此外 Vivian Ng 和 John Thong也都是cambridge毕业的教授
Control
control方面不是很熟了 但是国大一共5个ieee fellow 有三个在control方向 还都是中国人
一个是大名鼎鼎的sam Ge SHUZHI 长江学者 但据说人品有问题 近些年来都招不起学生了。。。。 大家可以从网上搜一下 挺有名的。。。。 但学术没得讲 被称为paper machine
Ben M. Chen： 人很好 同学的supervisor 搞无人机研究的
Dr. Chen is a Fellow of IEEE. He has served on the editorial boards for more than 10 journals including IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Control and Intelligent Systems, Systems & Control Letters, and Automatica.
XU JIANXIN:
好像是搞理论的 但无所谓了 人家大小是个fellow

这个方向国大的教授很少 比较出名的是
lian yong： 超级牛人 provost’ chair professor 最早是交大学金融的 后来到国大读ee的phd 之后一发不可收拾 直接干到professor 也是ieee fellow 现在感觉跟industry走的比较近 刚研制出来一个ECG device 要target at 8billion US market
ha yajun: 鲁汶大学毕业的 现在Chair of Singapore Chapter, IEEE Circuits and System Society
HENG CHUN HUAT：
Uiuc 的phd 听说在industry非常非常有名 搞analog design的
其他的方向不是很熟 大家从网上自己搜下吧 一口气写了这么多 有些撑不住了 下次再完善吧
