注意，个人陈述里面不要写名言

私以为引用名言有以下好处：体现阅读量、知识水平、方便展开经历、体现英语水平、为经历陈述进行铺垫、为论述提供支撑、有特色。

也看到不少的PS例子中以名言开题。于是我在 Background preparation 部分每段都以一个简短的名言开头，然后展开对应经历。自我感觉良好，直到我刚刚看到一个学校的招生tips里面明确说不要写名言：

DON’T start your statement with a famous quotation, no matter how well
you think it might fit with the theme of your personal statement. Admissions
committees want to hear your words, not those of someone else.
