这种回复是不是备胎了呀

USC EE phd，被SOP中提到的教授联系让读他的文章，做assignment。
发过去一周后没回复，就发邮件问了一下，得到下面的回复，是不是做备胎了。地里有没有小伙伴也收到做assignment的邮件的？
