[align="left"]Multiple doctoral research assistant positions (or excellent post-doctoral fellows) are available immediately in Ultrasound and Optical Imaging Laboratory at Bioengineering Department of University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Students who are planning to enroll in 2018 Fall semester are acceptable. UTA is located in the center of the Dallas-and-Fort-Worth metropolitan area, which is a very convenient and exciting city to live and work in USA.[/align]
[align="left"]The project will focus on the development of innovative cancer imaging technologies (such as optical and ultrasound-combined optical imaging technologies). The goal of our research is to achieve high resolution in deep tissue with high speed, sensitivity and specificity. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and specialized in any of the following fields: (1)bioinstrumentation (previous experience in optical fluorescence and/or ultrasound techniques will be a plus), (2) optical and ultrasound imaging contrast agent development (such as synthesis of nano- or micro-particles, microbubbles, biochemical labeling, molecular targeting…), (3) imaging algorithm development (such as image reconstruction, numerical simulation, Matlab skills…), and (4) in vivo pre-clinical imaging using small animals.[/align]
[align="left"]A minimum degree of Bachelor for the doctoral research assistant positions (or PhD or MD for the post-doctor positions) in Biomedical Engineering (or Bioengineering), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Biochemistry, Medicine or other related fields is required.
