跪求科普...有木有神牛知道啥叫“MS/PhD Program”

前一阵录收到了UCI的AD。 我申的是EE的MS。但录取前小秘给发了个信，问要不要录到“MS/PhD Program”。 当时想反正MS横竖都是自费，估计一回事，就答应了。但真的不知道这有啥区别....
原信是这样的：
“Dear Applicant:
I am writing this email on behalf of the graduate student admissions
committee at UC Irvine. We went through your application and your
record look impressive. While we have not yet made an official
decision, it is very likely that we will be able to offer you
admission to the MS/PhD program. You have currently
applied only for a terminal MS program and we were wondering if you
would be interested in changing to the MS/PhD program.。”
最近发现这个MS/PhD要求证明财产办I20的时间进度跟PhD一样，而认识的其他该校EE的MS貌似暂时木有时间要求，心里突然又疑惑了。。。 问了问小秘，说就只有MS和Phd两种学位（这不谁都知道--!{:4_105:}），多的也木说清, 估计忙的了。 求明白人给讲讲吧~ 感激不尽~！
