有没有机会成为RA？求助~

最近发帖比较多，主要是已经到了不努力不行的时候了，不想全军覆没的事情发生。。希望大家帮下小弟！
这回的学校是哥大。被他家的CS PhD拒了，刚转到MS，还不知道结果。。。在争取拿RA or TA。
这是教授的回信，请大家帮我分析下有没有可能拿RA，
第一封回复：
I had recommended that you be accepted as an MS student. So, if the admissions committee accepts you as an MS student and you are able to provide your own funding, I am willing to discuss having you work on a research project with my group when you arrive.
接下去问financial support，教授的回复：
My department does have a very limited number of teaching assistantships available for MS students, but typically not for first-semester students. Faculty, myself included, will sometimes have funds available for MS research assistantships. However, I am not in a position to offer you a position at this point.
请问这说明我如果拿到master录取后是否有机会拿RA呢？
我的理解是他应该有available funding。。 Right？
