Dr. Junfei Xie in the Department of Computer Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) is currently looking for a self-motivated PhD student. Applicants must have received a Bachelor’s degree in science and engineering fields related to data mining, machine learning, system modeling and control, unmanned systems, and communication networks. Candidates with strong theoretical background and/or programming skills are highly considered. Research experience in aforementioned areas is a great plus.
Dr. Xie joined TAMU-CC in 2016 and is currently an assistant professor. Her research focuses on unmanned aerial systems and data-driven dynamic system design and control with applications in airborne networks, air traffic flow management, and complex information systems. Her research is currently funded by the National Science Foundation and Texas Comprehensive Research Fund.
