A Postdoctoral research associate position is available at the Controls and Mechatronics
Laboratory at Texas A&M University, College Station. Preferred candidates are expected to have
strong background in one or more of the following areas: advanced controls theory, optimization

The selected candidate will work with Dr. Xingyong Song in the general research areas on
controls and optimization theory, with application to connected and autonomous vehicles,
automotive powertrain systems, etc. Dr. Song joined Texas A&M in Fall 2015. He got his Ph.D
in Mechanical Engineering from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and then gained over 4
years full-time industrial experience in two Fortune 500 companies ( 2 years at General Motors
Research Center in Michigan and 2 years at Halliburton Energy (Oil&Gas) Service Company in
