套磁来回了几封然后没信了怎么办？

给USC的一个老师发邮件，好不容易得到一个很不错的回复，其中有一句老师要求我提供additional materials：

I would be interested to hear more about your past research. Please send me a sample of your writing, eg a paper that you wrote on your research or a class assignment. I will then let you know whether or not I recommend that you complete a formal application on the USC website.

我折腾了两天把sample writing弄过去了，然后老师对我writing里写道的试剂污染问题给了一些建议，然后。。。就没有然后了。。。。
我给他回了我的解决方案以及对他建议的肯定。并且重申我希望在他实验室能够学到我想得到的技术和做相关的研究。。。
然后他就不回了。。。这尼玛是什么情况啊！求分析啊！还要不要申USC啊！
