一门硬伤的core course到底需不需要在PS/SOP里解释

一门重要专业课只拿了70分

我知道大家都说一门课不会影响太大 要注重overall的成绩
但MA在读的学长嘱咐我不要试图在PS里不解释 因为教授绝对不会ignore
于是我在PS里解释了一下 发给一个美国的PhD 建议我focus on the courses that you did well instead of that you did poorly

所以到底是解释还是不解释 挠墙
