转专业码农被RFE，才发现律师递交了奇怪职位

我master读的Civil Environmental Engineering，在学校上了很多cs的课，毕业的时候让系里改了一下学位名称，最后拿个一个Advanced Infrastructure System 的毕业证书，感觉上不是离cs那么远。现在在一家小公司做偏data的Software Engineer，做的很多东西也都和学校学的课程有关。周一的时候知道了自己被RFE的消息，看hr邮件的时候才发现律师给我申请的职位是Resident Engineer（可能怕直接申software engineer不好申？）。然后贴了一个非常模棱两可的job description。

RFE的内容基本上就是工作和专业的关系，公司网页上缺乏resident engineer的openning以及competitors招收相关职位的证明。
然而我们公司网页上并没有招收resident engineer，我也并不觉得有任何competitor会有这样的posting。另一个问题是假如这次rfe被通过了，那我后面跳槽是不是就顶得着resident engineer的头衔，这样在transfer的时候会不会遇到更多的问题？
律师当时和我交流的时候并没有提过会写我是resident engineer的职位，这一点应该是hr和律师决定的。
现在为难的是我是应该好好准备这次rfe，拿到resident engineer的h1b还是应该跳槽，放弃这次h1b的机会。
我opt2020年2月到期。
